Good forecast for first event of the season

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 17 June, 2016 - The Chevrolet Revolt Summer Surf Series 10.0 - Pier II Pier - Pro Am presented By Hodad's Burgers kicks off this Saturday - June 18 in Mission Beach, CA.

The surf forecast looks favorable & high temperatures are expected at the beach this weekend for the first RSSS event of 5. Beach signups begin at 7am, San Fernando Ct. in Mission Beach. Season 10 of the RSSS will see more Pro Am divisions, a slightly older demographic & more exotic surf trip destinations awarded.

New this year is the addition of a Women's Pro Am as well as Longboard Pro Am divisions. Over 18 and Master's divisions are all designed to attract a new competitive demographic to the series.

"We've been hearing from a large number of our local surfers," said RVLT Surf co-founder Brian Terhorst "They don't necessarily want to compete against the professional surfers... but they definitely want to compete. We want to see that crew down at our events this summer. Top athletes will win custom trophies, audio gear,  wetsuits, surfboards & killer swag from our sponsors... not to mention, bragging rights!"

RVLT surf has confirmed that the winner of the Men's Pro Am PRIME will be sent to Fiji again this year. "We're stoked that Waidroka Bay Resort in Fiji has teamed up with us again," stated RVLT Surf co-founder Leslie Terhorst, "Someone will score a week (with a friend) at this ULTIMATE surf trip destination. The all Inclusive stay includes air conditioned accommodations, unlimited beach to reef shuttles, scuba diving, dining and more. The perfect combination of pure relaxation and surfing action.

"We're doubling down this year with a second surf trip to Nicaragua." continued Leslie, "Stay tuned for an announcement soon on which division will lock down the surf trip. Plus, we're working on other exotic surf trip destination packages, so we can hook up even more of our athletes this season.

Surfers will need to compete in at least two of the four events this season to be eligible for the fifth Pro Am Prime event In October.
