Daniel 'Tomo' Thomson heads up latest discussion

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 19 March, 2015 - Shred Nation has launched Shred Talks, a lively take on the Ted Talks series. Hosted by Chris Grow of the popular YouTube program “Shred Show” the series takes place at Shaper Studios, a DIY surfboard workshop in Southern California.

The latest installment features forward-thinking Aussie designer Daniel ‘Tomo’ Thomson, creator of the Nano, Vanguard, Vader and other models. The program is an interactive event with Q&A sessions in front of a live audience with some of the industry's most successful and creative surfboard shapers.

"The crew at Shaper Studios has been teaching members of the San Diego surf community how to shape and build boards for years, and my audience has been asking me to interview surfboard designers for a long time,” said host Chris Grow. “So when Shaper called me with the concept for Shred Talks, it was a no-brainer. "

The filming takes place on various Tuesday nights at the San Diego Shapers Studio location.
