Mid to large WSW groudswell predicted for second annual comp

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 6 October, 2014 - The second annual A&L Tradies Surf Challenge is gearing up for a solid swell to hit the Surf Coast in perfect time for the event at Jan Juc. Launched last year, the A&L Tradies Surf Challenge is a specialty surf contest for tradesmen in Victoria.
Comprising of Open, Over 35 and Teams Divisions the event will pit tradies against each other in a fun relaxed event. The team’s event is open to all surfers (Male, Female, Junior) with the only requirement being that there must be one tradie in the team.
Surfing Victoria Official Swell Forecaster, Coastalwatch PLUS, are calling for the coast to be impacted by a medium swell with the potential for NW winds creating clean conditions.
“There is potential for a new run of mid to large WSW groundswell for Victorian coasts, getting underway over the weekend of Saturday 11th October. Initially this is likely to commence with lower scale WSW swell preceding stronger, mid period groundswell arriving around Sunday 12th.”
