Hoffman has donated six of her performance surfboards to the team along with other gear
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 8 September, 2017 - National Team member Tanika Hoffman, who was part of the South African Team that won the ISA World Games in Panama in 2013, has come out in support of the 2017 SA Junior Team.
The Pro surfer has donated six of her performance surfboards, wetsuits and other items to an SA Junior Team fundraiser that will take place outside the Surf Shack at Muizenberg Corner next Saturday (September 16th )
The multi capped SA Junior and National Team member wants the funds raised to be used to assist the 15 member Junior side with their expenses during the ISA World Junior Championships which will take place in Japan from September 23rd to October 1st.
The SA Junior Team “pop up” shop will be situated right outside the Surf Shack and will be open for business from 9am to 1pm on Saturday September 16th. The shop will be run by Surfing South Africa staff and members of the SA Junior team will be there to assist.
In addition to the performance surfboards and wetsuits on offer will be brand new T Shirts and caps as well as other surf related items on sale at crazy low prices.
There will be no credit card facilities so all items must be paid for in cash at the time of purchase. A receipt will be given for each purchase.
Anyone else who would like to donate items to this cause is asked to contact email@example.com. All donations will be acknowledged by Surfing South Africa.
All the funds raised will be handed to Team Management at the SA Junior Team Colours Awards which will be held at Primi Piatti in Muizenberg on the evening of Saturday September 16th. The team leaves for Japan the following day.
