Gray scores perfect 10 in final of event

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 13 March, 2014 - Spy team rider Alex Gray tamed Nelscott Reef to claim the first Big Wave World Tour (BWWT) event win of his career. One of the world’s Happiest surfers, Alex’s win is a follow-up to his exploits in the heaviest South Bay surf witnessed in decades.

Having entered the BWWT as a wildcard, Alex dominated over a field of seasoned veterans on his way to victory—scoring a perfect 10 in heaving 30-foot surf. Recently signing on to fly the SPY flag for an additional three years, Alex will continue to navigate a life of deep pits and boat trips as he travels the globe donning the SPY Happy Lens™.
