SUP Updates

Paddle Race series to run through June, August and September

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 6 June, 2015 - San Diego, June 4 - The Creed SUP Sunday Sunday Sunday Paddle Race series - presented by Westcoast Paddle Sports and AZTEK Paddles - kicking off on June 7th with 8, 4 & 1.5 mile courses, exclusively for SUP & Prone paddlers. 2015 DATES INCLUDE: JUNE 7, AUGUST 9, SEPTEMBER 27.

All races are run entirely within Mission Bay. New courses include multiple twists & buoy turns as well as upwind & downwind challenges. Elite divisions are designed to attract top athletes from around the globe. 

Last season saw Mo Frietas, Chuck Glynn & six time World SUP Champion Kai Lenny at the event. This year, Elite paddle groups from LA, OC & SD have all confirmed they will be competing. USA SUP Team member Chuck Glynn will be onsite to compete, and run product & technique demos.

This season, elite division cash prizes, custom trophies, challenging distance & sprint courses plus other fun elements including, SUP drag races, a Blind Draw relay, Kids Fun Run & the Log Roll Challenge will make this event a must-attend for elite athletes, weekend warriors & fans of the sport. 

These events will be a virtual 'Who's who' of  the Southern California SUP & Prone paddle Industry, where top brands & manufacturers will line the banks of Bonita Cove, offering athletes & racing enthusiasts a look at their latest gear and even opportunities to demo their products. 

Individuals new to the sport or just interested in taking their workouts to the next level can try out some of the top gear from our sponsors including, Creed SUP, AZTEK Paddles, Kings Paddle Sports, YoloBoards, Isle Surf & SUP, Jimmy Lewis Boards and others.

Great music, food & drink as well as the Green Beach Fest, will keep spectators engaged as the race drama unfolds.  The series is family friendly and open to the public. Admission to the event is free. 

RVLT Surf has partnered with The Surfrider Foundation, Sea Save Foundation and Ocean Force Foundation, offering them use of the busy event platforms to raise awareness towards critical environmental issues. The SD Burn Institute, Swell Hearts and Challenged Athletes Foundation have also been invited to the events to raise awareness & funding for their important causes.
