Stephanie Gilmore helps celebrate new partnership
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 14 November, 2011 : - - Four-time world surfing champion and photography enthusiast, Stephanie Gilmore, was at Bondi Beach to announce a three-year partnership between Surfing Australia and Nikon. The partnership sees Nikon become the official camera of Surfing Australia, with world-class surfer Stephanie Gilmore on board as the ambassador for Nikons COOLPIX AW100 waterproof, freezeproof and shockproof camera.
To solidify the partnership, Stephanie is revealed as the face of Nikon Australias first locally-produced marketing campaign that builds off the brands global I AM strategy. This sees Stephanie sitting alongside international stars such as Jamie Oliver as a Nikon ambassador, with the campaign including a locally-produced TVC, print campaign, online activity and point-of-sale.
Stephanie joined Surfing Australias Andrew Stark in Bondi today to celebrate the partnership and show off some examples of her photography.

Stephanie adds: Ive always loved photography since the days of film SLRs. Ive had a COOLPIX AW100 waterproof camera since it launched and am loving how it allows me the flexibility to express my creativity. I take it everywhere, even out in the surf. While Im far from being a professional photographer, photography is a huge part of my life in terms of helping me relax, documenting my travels and capturing those special moments.
