Surfing Australia TV Strikes Gold With National Prime Time TV Slot - Episode 9 Premieres Tonight
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 18 September, 2012 : - - Surfing Australia TV has locked in prime time television coverage to beam nationally into Australian households. Surfing Australia has teamed with free-to-air digital channel Television 4ME to broadcast Surfing Australia TV every Tuesday at 6.30pm immediately after nightly news programs. Managed by Brand New Media, Television 4ME broadcasts nationally to a potential audience of 22 million viewers in more than 8.3 million homes.
Television 4ME is available on Channel 74 in Queensland and capital cities and Channel 64 in regional areas. Viewers should rescan their digital receivers for reception. Surfing Australia TV is a monthly, half-hour program showcasing the organisation’s many different programs from junior development, through to elite athlete coaching, event management and industry education. Episode 9 premieres tonight and features the launch of the second season of VEGEMITE SurfGroms, the Sally Fitzgibbons Pro Surfer Camp, the Bede Durbidge Pro Surfer Camp and the Jamie Mitchell SUP Camp.
Surfing Australia Chief Executive Officer Andrew Stark said there had been a tremendous response following the launch of the program in November 2011. “We recently produced Episode 9 and we’re happy to announce a second season of 12, half-hour episodes will be rolled out for next year,” Stark said
“With national coverage we’ve been able to showcase the organisation to a much broader audience and this is reflected in the amount of enquiries from people who have seen the program and want to participate in our many programs. “Our website traffic alone has increased by 18 per cent as a result of the new television show.”

Brand New Media CEO Perry Smith said Surfing Australia TV was one of the most popular programs in its scheduling. “Obviously Surfing Australia is a very important partner for TV4ME and we look forward to another year of programming with their engaging content,” Smith said.
