17 - 20 June 2015

Surfing NSW partners with Clarence Valley Council

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 17 November, 2014 - Surfing NSW is delighted to announce that its partnership with Clarence Valley Council has been extended to now include the 2015 Australian Skin Cancer Clinics NSW Longboard Titles.

The prestigious four-day event will join the Subway Summer Surf Series and the Original Source Australian Boardriders Battle as the third Surfing NSW managed event to take place in Yamba over the forthcoming year.

The 2015 Australian Skin Cancer Clinics NSW Longboard Titles will take place from 17th – 20th of June, 2015.

The Australian Kneeboard Titles round two will also take place on Sunday, 21st of June in the same region and bookend the event.

“There is very strong support from Council to continue the development of our sports tourism initiative. Of particular benefit is being able to target sports events that boost the local economy during the off-peak season,” said Clarence Valley Mayor Richie Williamson. “We are especially excited that this event ticks all these boxes.”

“The Australian Skin Cancer Clinics NSW Longboard Titles are such an elite event for the longboarding community, so it’s only fitting that they get the opportunity to score some decent waves; which is something the Clarence Valley has an abundance of,” said Surfing NSW Event Manager Luke Madden.

Entries to both events open in early May, 2015.

Surfing NSW intends to mix up locations for the events depending on conditions and will seek the most appropriate waves for each discipline.
