Best Indonesian surfers will be celebrated with music, short films, and prizes

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 16 September, 2014 -  This Friday, September 19th, 2014, at 8pm, the 11th annual Surftime Magazine Awards, will kick off its red carpet event on Jl. Oberoi at Meja Kitchen and Single Malt bar. A time honored celebration that honors the best of the Indonesian surf and beach culture industry along with the finest Indonesian surfers in the country, the Surftime awards are considered the “Academy Awards of Indonesian surfing”. A star studded night that has become the most anticipated surfing celebration of the year.

Boasting over 500 VIP guests annually, 2014 is gearing up to be the biggest ever. Overlooking all the action, “The Jewel of Oberoi”, Meja Kitchen and Single Malt Bar will boast two levels of dining, drinking and entertainment starting at dusk and continuing late into the night.

Music, short films, prizes (Including a free G-Land trip giveaway) and cultural performances will rule the night. Until the highlight of the evening, the Awards ceremony itself, comes down at 9pm. Here, the most popular of our surfing and beach culture leaders and our finest surfers will take the stage to accept their awards as voted by you, the readers of Surftime Magazine, Indonesia’s finest surfing and beach culture magazine.

After the awards, the celebration will continue late into the night with special musical performances and DJ’s in our Single Malt VIP lounge and in entertainment spaces on both levels.

The annual celebration will start the day before with at a big beach clean-up and free surf lessons session for 25 lucky orphans compliments of the Rip Curl School Of Surf. This year Padma Beach, Thursday, September 18th at 2pm will be the location. The Padma Boys will also be hosting the beach clean-up, a wonderful opportunity to bring the whole family and teach the next generation to care for the beautiful island paradise.
