DHD Surfboards launch new Switchblade model

Board Design

Board features a slightly more pulled in tail and wide-point forward design

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 25 October, 2015 - The DHD Switchblade aims to be a complete all-round performance small wave shortboard - a light and manoeuvrable design that performs well in all conditions. This model is usually ridden shorter and wider. More volume has been added to the tail to help with speed through ‘dead sections’ when surfing.

The Tail shape is still the same performance tail but has been slightly pulled in by a 1/16th of an inch improving turning. Moved the wider point 1” forward which has streamlined the outline making it smoother in the shape.  Switchblade 2016 by DHD SurfLike most of our 2016 Double Concave models we have slightly reduced the concave — I have found that in the super small waves they suck to the face too much which helps from catching the rail in turns.

FEATURES

Glassing: 4 x 4 x 3/4
