Cronulla Beachfest will see food and wine stalls, live music and more
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 27 October, 2014 - The 2014 Tradies Surfmasters presented by the National Roads & Motorists' Association (NRMA) will return to Cronulla from the 1st – 2nd November and is set to host a variety of former professional surfers as they return to the competitive stage.
Already entered into the event are former professional surfers Glenn Pringle (Cronulla), Gary Green (Cronulla) and Jake Spooner (Bulli).
“It’s awesome to see some of surfings greats return to the competitive arena for this event,” said Surfing NSW Event Manager Luke Madden. “For the last five years, the Tradies Surfmasters presented by NRMA has provided surfers, aged over-40, with the perfect platform to restoke their competitive flame and battle it out across a variety of different disciplines.”
The longboard, kneeboard and SUP components of the Tradies Surfmasters presented by NRMA will take place on Saturday, while the shortboard and retro divisions will take place on Sunday.
Entries are currently open for all disciplines.
Cronulla Beachfest will see food and wine stalls, nostalgic cars, swimwear parades and live music occupying Dunningham Park, just behind the event site. The family friendly festival is thanks to Jumbo events. For more information on the festival check out www.beachfestcronulla.com
The surfing event will be fully mobile in the Cronulla area with North Cronulla Beach, Elouera Beach, Wanda Beach South Cronulla Beach all venue options.
The daily running schedule and contest location will be confirmed on the event hotline (0458 247 212) after 6:45am each day of the event.
2014 is the fifth year the Tradies Surfmasters presented by NRMA has run at Cronulla.
