US Blanks sponsors tribute to Santa Barbara shaper
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 3 February, 2010 : - - US Blanks and Sacred Craft have agreed to a multi-year sponsorship securing US Blanks the 'presenting sponsorship' of the Tribute to the Masters Shape-off, this year honoring legendary Santa Barbara shaper Renny Yater.
"US Blanks has been involved with the Tribute to the Masters Shape-off for a number of years so it made sense for us to continue this partnership," said US Blanks' Vice President Jeff Holtby. "The Tribute to the Masters Shape-off is a unique event that aligns our company with legends such as Dick Brewer, John Bradbury and Renny Yater.
Plus, as anyone knows that has attended Sacred Craft, it's a grass roots show, and all of us in the surfboard industry want to be apart of it, because it feels like our show."
Other companies joining forces with the Sacred Craft Consumer Surf Expo include media sponsor TransWorld SURF and TransWorld BUSINESS, vintage surfboard 'Antique Roadshow' appraisals presenting sponsor Primo Beer, seminar presenting sponsor Bubblegum Surf Wax, Surfers Playing Music for Surfers presenting sponsor Rhythm and Joyo's G-land Surf Camp, which is giving away 6-nights, 7 days at their Indonesian surf camp to one lucky attendee.
"Each year we experiment with another core cultural element," said Sacred Craft Director Scott Bass. "In Ventura, Robb Havassy's Surf Story project will light up the halls with large format surf art from artists that took part in Robb's incredible endeavor. This gallery area, which, if you've seen Robb's book you will know, promises to be breathtaking, and is one of the few remaining sponsorship opportunities for Sacred Craft, Ventura 2010."
