Great surf highlights Totally Crustaceous Tour stop in Anglet
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 16 April, 2014 - For the second year in a row we were back on the Anglet beaches for the TCT Karramarro Fish. The sun was shining, the wind was offshore, and even if it was not as pumping as last year, the waves were super fun, and more 120 kids from France, Tahiti, and Spain ripped as hard as ever!
Because of the forecasts, the Girls and Pro-Am divisions surfed on Saturday and Squids, Groms and Juniors on Sunday. The girls battled hard to catch the best waves, and even if the pretty surprising early round loss of Anna Moreau, the rest of favorites were in final and at the end Delia Delanne won just front of Camille Davila.
Before his Pro-Am final, Tom Cloarec took the cake in the Air Division with a huge frontside reverse air and won 250€ in cash!!
The last heat of the day was the Pro-Am final and it was a dramatic one, with the last wave of the heat going to TCT competitor Aldric God, which was the best wave of the heat, sealing the victory. Charly Quivront finished runner up and just missed out on the 500€ cash, Tom Cloarec also made the podium and the Basque surfer Ethan Egiguren earned his Euro TCT Champs qualification with the 4th place.

Sunday was the "kid's day", more than 80kids of 16 years old and under invaded the beach of "Les Corsaires" and enjoyed small and perfect waves, and many 'traditional' TCT beach games set up by the Volcom crew!
Unsurprisingly, Noa Dupouy won the Squids Division, following by Loic Blouin, Luan Nogues and Eimea Zermak. The Groms division was a fierce battle with a pretty high tide, and in the end, Nalu Doutres won the title just front of Loic's brother, Erwan Blouin. Iker Amatrian was third and Gaizka Housset 4th.
The last final of the week end was the Juniors final, and after the 500€ cash win the day before, Aldric God added 250€ more in his pocket with his uncontested victory front of the young surfer of Capbreton, Quentin Grenard. Local Tittouan Deffarges finished 3rd front of another local, Pierre Loora.
Many thanks to the council of Anglet, to the Anglet Surf Club for their huge help, especially Bastienne, Kim and Hugo, to Alex Lesbats for the great picures, Ludo for the movie, all the judges who worked almost 20 hours, and all the girls in the Volcom crew!
