Wanderlust Festival Rides the Next Wave in Oahu

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 26 October, 2012 : - - New York, NY - Wanderlust Festival, the one-of-a-kind yoga and music festival set within nature's most inspiring scenery, announced today that it will leave the mainland and head to Hawai'i for the debut of Wanderlust O‘ahu.

Situated on O‘ahu’s Fabled North Shore far away from the crowds of Waikiki, the breathtaking Turtle Bay Resort will play host to yogis from all over the world on February 28-March 3, 2013.  Featuring almost five miles of beachfront property, the resort will offer the perfect destination for guests ready to enjoy the unique yoga and music that has come to be a trademark of the Wanderlust experience, tucked away in a Hawaiian paradise.

"While the Wanderlust community has embraced the beauty of practicing at incredible mountain-side settings for the last four years, it’s always been a dream to bring it to the beach," said festival co-founder Jeff Krasno.  "Wanderlust O‘ahu will be unlike any other festival we've thrown.  It will bring together our mindful community of top-tier yoga teachers, leading musical acts and inspiring speakers, and mix in top-notch surf instruction and authentic North Shore culture."

Wanderlust O‘ahu will welcome personalities like world-famous surfing legend Gerry Lopez and North Shore surf pro Rochelle Ballard to teach alongside its incredible lineup of top mainland teachers, from Shiva Rea and Baron Baptiste to Eoin Finn and Schuyler Grant.  Nighttime will feature live music by ALO, John Cruz, DJ Drez & more.  Adding a decidedly Hawaiian twist to the mix, the Farm-to-Table dining experience transforms into Sea-to-Table Dinner.  Additional activities abound, from hula dancing and ukulele lessons to paddleboarding and Speakeasy lectures.

"We are thrilled to welcome Wanderlust O‘ahu to Turtle Bay Resort," said resort General Manager and Vice President Danna Holck. "While we've hosted some of the world's top surf competitions, the community in O‘ahu has never experienced anything like the inspiring yoga and music celebration that is the Wanderlust Festival."

Advance price tickets for Wanderlust O‘ahu go on sale November 1, 2012.  For more information please visit oahu.wanderlustfestival.com.
