Wave Tribe Eco Surf Gear Expands into Europe
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 26 September, 2008 : - - Ventura -- As the green wave gains momentum on the global seascape, Wave Tribe's production of surf gear made from sustainable material is well positioned to push its ecological swell into the European hard goods marketplace.
In southern Europe Wave Tribe has signed a licensing agreement with Surf Systems, a well established surf company operating out of southern France. Surf Systems will be delivering Wave Tribe's ecological gear to France, Spain, Portugal and Italy starting in 2009.
Wave Tribe has also been working closely with Adisglais, partnering in Sweden selling through to the Nordic region, Adisglais recently helped position Wave Tribe in the September magazine edition of Surfing Sweden and is working with other media to promote the green movement in the surf industry via its partnership with Wave Tribe.
In the UK the ecological surf magazine Surfers Path selected Wave Tribe for a fall product review and after testing its recycled leash stated, "The Wave Tribe Recycled Leash is excellent . . . buying this leash reduces your footprint on earth and it's still every bit as comfortable and strong as any brand name leash I've ever used."
Also in the UK, Surfers Against Sewage, a non-profit pushing for clean ocean water has partnered with Wave Tribe to provide its English members with Wave Tribe's eco friendly products. Wave Tribe's vision for clean oceans matches this synergistic partnership well and is evidence that the surf industry is ready for change.
