Video Updates

Tiago Pires primarily rides a 5'11 x 18 3/16 x 2 3/16

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 13 June, 2014 - Tiago Pires is back. This clip features Tiago in Australia for the start of the 2014 WCT. Tiago injured his knee through the 2013 WCT leg and was out for a good 6 months. After receiving a injury wild spot for the 2014 World Tour he trained hard and is back. He suffered a scare when training in Sydney he tweaked his knee again. He was sidelined for the Margaret River Pro event unfortunately but recovered fast and it back on track.

Tiago's board design hasn't changed too much over the years. He primarily rides 5'11 x 18 3/16 x 2 3/16 Fader model. The start of a new season has seen him trying some boards a little shorter and a little wider too. Tiago has been getting 5'10 x 18 1/4 x 2 3/16 and also 5'9 x 18 3/8 x 2/316 all in the Fader models with thumb tails.

Tiago rides a combination of FCS 2 set up with the Accelerator template (medium) and Origin fins with the Accelerator template (medium). Look out for Tiago in upcoming event at J-Bay. Cold water and right hand points will have Tiago feeling right at home (he hails from Portugal if you didn't already know and, well, there is right points everywhere).
