Event Allows Consumers to Try Latest Gear Before Committing to Buy
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 23 February, 2015 - San Clemente - Surfing Magazine and Surf Ride have teamed up once again to bring Camp Shred, the world’s largest surf demo, back to San Elijo Campground in Cardiff By the Sea, Calif., March 7-8, 2015. The annual event, now in its third year, brings the best surf brands and thousands of their loyal consumers for a fun weekend of camping, surfing and demoing the latest greatest gear, all while giving back to California State Parks.
Major purchases like wetsuits, surfboards and other surf gear can be expensive, so the chance to try before you buy is key. Camp Shred features many of the top brands sharing their newest shapes, designs and products including: Arbor, Billabong, Captain Fin, Clif Bar, Creatures of Leisure, FCS, Firewire, Futures Fins, O’Neill, Otis, Quiksilver, RinseKit, Rusty, Sector 9, Sharpeye, SP Gadgets, Spy, Sun Bum, Super Surfboards, Surface Sun Systems, Watermans Applied Science, and more!
But the fun doesn’t stop with the free demo opportunities. The festival-like campground will also feature music and entertainment, food trucks and the always-popular beer garden.
The free and open to the public event will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Proceeds from the beer garden and Subaru test drives will benefit California State Parks, specifically the Friends of Cardiff and Carlsbad State Beaches.
