XTremEnterprise kicks off new plan with SurfersVillage Facebook Live project
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 21 July, 2016 - XTremEnterprise, holding company of XTreme Video has launched phase one of its ambitious global leadership in action sports and lifestyle plan. The company extended its expertise in the digital video and social platforms ecosystem to its online surfing news platform SurfersVillage with the very first SurfersVillage Live Show on Facebook.
The program took the website’s popular surfboard design reporting to an all new platform by broadcasting LIVE from the Superbrand European headquarters in Biarritz to showcase the company’s new products. Later the broadcast did some on-the-beach-and-in-the-surf testing of the designs. The result was 12,000 video views and one million people reached.
"After having consolidated our media assets, reaching over 150 million views last month, we will now start to leverage this reach by implicating all of our other Ecom and editorial assets into a major virtuous ecosystem where our creators and viewers will meet around content and products,” said Gregg Bywalski, COO of XTremEnterprise.
One of the many small steps in this larger undertaking by XTremEnterprise was the Facebook Live broadcast.
“The results of our first Facebook Live on SurfersVillage exceeded our expectations,” said Edouard Moreau Marketing Manager of XTreme Video. “We had a reach just beyond one million people within that day, which is amazing. We are stoked that our content strategy is working great and we are excited about our next Facebook Live with talented creators and iconic brands both on SurfersVillage and XTreme Video Facebook page ”
For the Facebook Live episode SurfersVillage design editor Bryan Dickerson and Superbrand Europe Marketing director Rémi Chaussemiche explored the technical aspects of three Superbrand models and why these boards work the way they do. The crew then went to the beach to have French supergrom Imanol Geledan test out the boards. The results were amazing, viewers were able to see how three different designs all worked in the same surf conditions.
“We were able to take viewers from the Superbrand showroom down to the beach,” said Design Editor Bryan Dickerson. “It was great to talk about the boards and how they should work in theory, and then actually see them in the water and how they worked.”
Viewers were also able post design questions LIVE to Facebook and get expert feedback.
