  US Open Webcast (Pressey)

The GO211.com live webcast site for the US Open has got to be the world's worst user experience in the entire history of surfing webcasts. The navigation, layout and design is everything to make it a guaranteed disaster for user experience. I tried registering to view the webcast after over an hour of hassles, and the bloody thing wasn't able to accept me. For the life of me I cant understand how so much money can be put to such bad use - the event organisers, sponsors and sanctioning bodies, have certainly come up with the best bad publicity campaign ever for their businesses and surfing - Is there anybody out there haveing a better experience than me trying to get something out of the live webcast & scores ??

Thank god I didn't spend an hour on there. I had the same trouble, but gave up after a few minutes. See, short attention spans are good for something! Doesn't it seem that a lot of the major contests screw up their webcasts the first day, but seem to get it right by day 2 or 3. Let's hope Go211 gets it together!

Good point Uncle Bob, hey but you never get a second chance to make a first impression, and this time GO211 failed dismally with their first impression. One foot already in the grave I say for GO211 !

Did you know the Vans Pro Junior webcast is a one tech man show, with one cameraman, and it's running smoothly and without a hitch, plus it's easy to navigate to where you want to go.

How can someone like GO211 march in and make such a giant screw-up !

I'm the same as Uncle Bob - had a sniff around, lost the plot and left, the website is far to complicated for surf gurus

I agree - it's the 21st century - fair enough if they can't get it right on a faraway island in the middle of the south pacific somewhere but the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - you'd think that they would have the technology and know how to get it right the first time -
