Hello October! Why are you acting like March?

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 8 October, 2009 : - - October is usually my favorite surfing month of the year...cool, crisp offshore winds, clean west swells, and glassy conditions all day long. October 2009 hasn't cooperated at all though. Each day dawns with uneven spring-like winds and somewhat messy surf ...certainly nothing to cry about but still nothing like any October I've ever experienced in my twenty-nine years of surfing. At least the water is still warm...

As many of you know, JettyGirl operates a little differently than the typical surf magazine business model. While we do have a bit of advertising support, we are largely a reader-supported publication. If you haven't partnered with us and would like to, we have set up a "Pay Whatever You Like" subscription.
