In the men's Qualifying Series contest, Hiroto Ohhara (JPN) was the king of the beachbreak, bringing a mix of hacks, airs and small-wave maneuvers. With his win, he earns the best competitive result ever from a Japanese surfer.

    29 July, 2015 - WSL CT & QS: Competition continued today at the Vans US Open of Surfing, Stop No. 6 on the 2015 Samsung Galaxy World Surf League (WSL) Women’s Championship Tour (CT), and ran through Rounds 2 and 3 in two-to-three foot surf at Huntington Beach. The field of 18 was narrowed to 12, with four surfers earning the direct advance to the Quarterfinals.

    26 July, 2015 - WSL WQS: The Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro Women’s QS6000 cape was donned by a new champion Sunday afternoon as Tatiana Weston-Webb (HAW) battled through victory-at-sea conditions to earn a win over Courtney Conlogue (USA) and is now the Qualification Series (QS) points leader. Weston-Webb joins an elite group of women, including Conlogue, who have won this event and did so keeping true to her game plan.

    25 July, 2015 - WSL WQS: Day two of the three-day Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro — the largest all-women’s surf contest in the world and the only WSL Women’s QS6000 event in the continental U.S. — wrapped with an intense afternoon of surfing as former champ Malia Manuel (HAW) narrowly escaped elimination on her last wave in the Round of 24 and defending champ, Sage Erickson (USA), came from behind in the final few seconds of her heat.

  • Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro kicks off in Oceanside

    24 July, 2015 - WSL QS: Oceanside: Day one of the three-day Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro — the largest all-women’s surf contest in the world and the only WSL Women’s QS6000 event in the continental U.S. — saw a field of 108 narrowed to 64 on Friday, grinding through nearly three rounds. Action resumes tomorrow at 8 a.m. PST with the final three heats in the Round of 72 before the CT powerhouses take to the water at the iconic Oceanside Pier.
