    16 August, 2014 - ASP: Tanner Gudauskas has won the ASP 5-Star Soöruz Lacanau Pro over Leonardo Fioravanti (ITA) 16, in a fading 2-3Ft swell. An exciting final saw the two go head-to-head but eventually it was Gudauskas who solidified his lead, the Californian taking home an impressive $20,000 cheque and the 2,000 ranking points.

    Sage Erickson wins ASP 6-Star Supergirl Pro

    10 August, 2014 - ASP WQS: Sage Erickson has won the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) 6-Star Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro over Tatiana Weston-Webb (Kauai, HI), 18, in one-to-three foot waves at Oceanside Pier. Erickson took an early lead in the final, but Weston-Webb quickly overtook the Californian, holding the lead throughout the majority of the heat. Erickson answered back, delivering a big backhand snap of a left set for a 6.83 and her second career Supergirl Pro victory.

    9 August, 2014 - ASP WQS: The Association of Surfing Professionals 6-Star Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro continued to march through the rounds on day 2 of competition, whittling the original field of 104 down to the final 12 in clean two-to-four foot waves at Oceanside Pier. The Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro marks the sixth of eight ASP 6-Star Qualification Series (QS) events, offering maximum points towards qualification for the 2015 World Championship Tour (WCT).

    Taylor Knox wins Twin Fin event at Sultans Point

    7 August, 2014 - CONTESTS: Californian surfer Taylor Knox defeated Dave Rastovich to win the Twin-Fin Round of the Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy in the clean, playful 1.5 metre (3- to 5-foot) surf at Sultan's Point in the Maldives today. A cool and calm Knox was forced to come from behind after falling on a potentially high scoring ride just before ‘Rasta’ locked in a heat high 9.70 wave score at the ten-minute mark.

  • Rastovich edges out Garcia to take Single Fin win

    6 August, 2014 - SINGLE-FIN: Australia’s Dave “Rasta” Rastovich, 34, put on an exhibition of classic surfing to narrowly defeat Hawaiian powerhouse Sunny Garcia, 44, in the Single-Fin Division of the Four Seasons Resorts Surfing Champions Trophy at the fourth annual event at Sultan’s Point today. The embodiment of the spirit of the single fin, Rastovich’s cool, relaxed approach harkened back to the early days of the 1970s, when a premium was put on style and clean, smooth lines. Posting a heat total 18.37 (out of a possible 20), ‘Rasta’ was in complete rhythm with the Indian Ocean swells.
