    28 July, 2016 - WSL-CT: The Vans US Open of Surfing continued to see close battles as the world’s best surfers fought to secure a place in the Quarterfinals. Women’s Round 4 witnessed a series of extremely close match-ups, with each of the heat winners claiming a narrow victory over their opponents. Incredible action followed the women’s event as the Men’s QS10,000 finished their Round 3 heats before the Pro Junior Men rounded off a stacked day of competition to complete their Quarterfinal draws.

    27 July, 2016 - WSL QS: The World Surf League (WSL) Men’s Qualifying Series (QS) Vans US Open of Surfing QS10,000 began the morning’s action with the completion of Round Two. The remaining top seeds did not disappoint in their debuts, putting on a showcase in the two-to-four foot, dropping swell. Following the Samsung Galaxy Women’s Championship Tour (CT) Round Three matchups, the men got back in the water for opening heats of Round Three before being called off.

Completing Rounds One, Two, and Three in their entirety, along with Heats 1 – 8 of Round Four, spectators on site were treated to impressive, high-performance surfing throughout the day. New-comers and some usual suspects debuted on opening day in consistent, three-to-five foot, occasional overhead, conditions on the southside of the Oceanside Pier.
