  • ASP crowns World Junior Champs Ribeiro & Maeda

    29 October, 2014 - ASP JUNIORS: Vasco Ribeiro (PRT) 19, and Mahina Maeda (HAW) 16, have won the Allianz ASP World Junior Championships in clean 3-to-4-foot surf at the iconic Ribeira D’Ilhas righthand pointbreak in Ericeira. Vasco Ribeiro claims a historic ASP World Junior Title as the first Portuguese surfer to ever do so and notched the coveted trophy in his home country today.

    Michael Rodrigues wins Oceano Santa Catarina Pro

    25 October, 2014 - ASP QS: In his maiden ASP victory, Michael Rodrigues (BRA) used his local knowledge at Praia da Joaquina to defeat Santiago Muniz (ARG) on the final day of the ASP 6-Star Oceano Santa Catarina Pro. With his win, Rodrigues earned U$25,000 in prize money and 3,500 ranking points, vaulting him to 42nd place on the ASP Qualification Series (QS).

  • Coco Ho wins 5-Star Oceano Santa Catarina Pro

    22 October, 2014 - ASP QS: Coco Ho (HAW) was victorious today at the ASP 5-Star Oceano Santa Catarina Pro over Keely Andrew (AUS) by a score of 16.33 to 9.03 in waves in the 2-3 foot range (1 meter) and pleasant weather at Praia da Joaquina, in Florianopolis, Brazil. With her win on Wednesday, she becomes the surfer with the most World Qualifying Series (QS) wins in South America.

  • Mick bests Jordy to take Rip Curl Pro Portugal win

    20 October, 2014 - Supertubos, Peniche - Mick Fanning has won the 2014 Moche Rip Curl Pro Portugal, defeating Jordy Smith in clean 3-to-5-foot barrels at the iconic Supertubos in Peniche. Fanning’s third event victory this season, after wins at Bells Beach and Jeffreys Bay, moves him up to World No. 2 on the Samsung Galaxy ASP World Championship Tour rankings.

  • Medina, Slater out of Rip Curl Pro Peniche

    19 October, 2014 - ASP WCT: Supertubos delivered major upsets and high drama today as current Tour frontrunners Gabriel Medina and 11-time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater were eliminated from the Moche Rip Curl Pro Portugal by Brett Simpson and Aritz Aranburu respectively in Round 3. The Brazilian’s early exit ends his chances of claiming an historic world surfing crown in Portugal, effectively pushing the title race to the final event of the year in Hawaii.

  • Wind-blown surf kicks off Rip Curl Pro Portugal

    14 October, 2014 - Supertubos - The Moche Rip Curl Pro Portugal got underway today in wind-affected 3-to-5 foot waves at the iconic Supertubos in Peniche, and completed the opening round of competition. In one of the most highly anticipated match-ups of the day, 11-time ASP World Champion and current World No. 2 Kelly Slater took on Matt Wilkinson

  • Jadson Andre wins back-to-back Cascais titles

    11 October, 2014 - ASP QS: Jadson Andre has won the ASP Prime Cascais Billabong Pro over Stu Kennedy in a one way final disputed in 2-to-3-foot waves. Andre had a tough road to the final, but managed to beat Jordy Smith for the second time in a row after their semifinal bout in France, before dispatching of fellow Brazilian Dantas in the semis. The explosive goofyfooter kept building momentum at Guincho culminating with a dominant performance in the final to take the win.

  • Quarterfinalists decided at Cascais Billabong Pro

    10 October, 2014 - ASP PRIME: The Cascais Billabong Pro resumed at 8am in decreasing 3-to-5-foot waves at Guincho and completed two rounds of competition to decide the quarterfinalists. The final Qualifying event in Europe for 2014, and Stop No.2 of 3 in the Portuguese Waves Series - Cascais trophy, this event brings some of the World’s Best surfers to the pristine Cascais coastline in the hunt for crucial ranking points and a shot at the extra $50k to the winner of the series.

  • Jordy matches Guincho's power at Billabong Pro

    9 October, 2014 - ASP PRIME: The ASP Prime Cascais Billabong Pro, resumed around lunchtime to complete eight heats in pumping 5-to-8-foot surf at Guincho. The remaining members of the elite Top 34 in contention in Cascais put on a dominant performance to secure most of the coveted spots in the Round of 16.

  • Lacomare eliminates Pires at Cascais Billabong Pro

    8 October, 2014 - ASP PRIME: The ASP PrimeCascais Billabong Pro, resumed this morning in a building swell to culminate in double-overhead sets at Guincho and whittle the field down to 24 hopefuls. A pivotal moment in the 2014 Qualifying Series race, this event will play a major role in the campaigns of some of the World’s Best surfers to either obtain their ticket for the Samsung Galaxy ASP World Championship Tour or maintain their position one more season.
