New Wave of exciting young Australasian Surfers ready to step out at the Globe Jetty Surf Pro Junior

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 26 December, 2005 : - - The Globe Jetty Surf Pro Junior  will open the Australasian Pro Junior season and will reveal a whole new batch of very talented and exciting surfers emerging into the serious ranks of the Pro Junior league. Surfers like Julian Wilson (Coolum Qld), Heath Joske (Coff's Harbour NSW),  Nick Vasiceck (Gold Coast), Nick Riley (Nth Sydney), Tim Stevenson (Jan Juc), Dion Atkinson (Seaford SA), Tom Wimmer (WA) and many more will  suddenly be  taking the Pro Junior Series on far more seriously .

Until now, these surfers have been honing their skills in the cadet and junior elite amateur  events  throughout Australia, along with experiencing themselves in Pro Junior events, but now they move into probably their most crucial developmental period which really prepares and grooms them for the World Qualifying Series.

For most, it's two years of serious surfing, combining Pro Junior and Open World Qualifying Series events - The established pro juniors like Ben Dunn, Mitch Coleborn  and Matt Wilkinson  remain leading the pack of Pro Juniors but this batch of emerging youngsters will join and tackle them to form what many believe are the largest group of exceptionally talented young surfers to date on the Pro Junior Circuit.

The Girls surfing circuit is similarly positioned - The established Pro Juniors like Nicola Atherton will be joined by some exceptionally new talented surfers from across the country ready to take on the toughest pro junior circuit in the world. With the World Pro Junior Championships running in Sydney   just prior to the Globe Jetty Surf ,  a large contingent of international surfers will also compete.

Large holiday crowds on Victoria's magnificent Surfcoast will be treated to Pro Junior surfing at it's best and in the spirit of the holiday atmosphere the event has  a number of exciting activities including - Three lucky winners who will again be treated to a big weekend at the event with all expenses paid trip with flights, accommodation, spending money and Globe clothing packs, entering through store and on the Jetty Surf website.

Triple M  live feeds from the event site and a mega BBQ on Saturday. Friday 13th will be the VIP event night at the Bells Beach Hotel, for competitors, media & family.

The Jetty Surf Pro surf team which includes World Championship Tour surfers Luke Steadman and Jarrad Howse along with high profile WQS surfers Adam Robertson, Jarrah Tutton, Kai Otten, Dion Atkinson, Karlee  Mackie   and  Claire Bevelaqua (also WCT women's) will be at the event and the team will be conducting signings at both Highpoint & Bourke St stores on Thursday 12th.

Bells Beach regularly produces epic surf conditions during summer with extreme low tides and fast hitting solid summer swells and this event has scored some amazing days in past years.
