Quiksilver/Surfing Life South Coast Challenge Cancelled
Quiksilver / Surfing Life BPSA South Coast Challenge Cancelled
Unfortunately due to a poor surf forecast for next weekend the Quiksilver / Surfing Life BPSA South Coast Challenge has been cancelled for this year. The event was due to take place at Challaborough Beach, South Devon and would have been the third annual event held there.
Last year the touring surfers were treated to large storm surf allowing all competitors to surf at the highest level. The eventual winner was Alan Stokes of Newquay.
The Headworx BPSA UK Tour will now count five events instead of six for the ratings and title. At the moment the tour is wide open, with the next event ‘Headworx North East BPSA Surf Contest’ being a two star competition everything is to play for. The top four Ruben Pierce (S Africa), Mark Harris (Newquay) Sam Lamiroy (Newcastle) and Richard Mullins (Newquay) now become the favourites to take the title the closest race so far.
