Mullet Fish goes off in Hossegor
Sunday the 19th of October the contests starts at La Gravier with an increased swell of three feet clean and cold. There was some confusion that event was cancelled because it was so cold, but indeed it was not.
The groms were first to go out for their straight out final, with the conditions a little fast they charged the inside double ups. Antonin De Soulinais who had a strong backside hooks to take the win Guillaume Mangiarotti in second and Clement Montamat taking third.
Next up was the same affair for the juniors with waves improving. Coming in at first was the Hossegor local Mathias Maallem with some nice tubes and critical floaters which placed him in front of Anthony Montmat who placed second with some solid moves. Third was Thomas Esquillot followed in fourth by Gautier Aupetit .
The Pro-Am the waves were getting better heat by heat. For the final with the mid tide there was some really nice peaks with the wind blowing up the face there were barrels everywhere .Wasting no time Steve Seilly found a little barrel and then finished with a strong close out move to take first position from Nicolas Portugais who was getting his fair share of barrels too. Third was for Laurent Caule with a nice baskside tube for his opening defense and fourth was David Portugais who couldn´t find the left barrels that helped him make the final.
The finals were followed by pizza for lunch on the beach with the presentation and then the silly string war.
We would like to thank our product sponsors again for their support: Nixon watches, Etnies shoes, Electric sunglasses, and FCS, and Gorilla Grip.
