Day 2 at Salinas Pro in Ecuador
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 28 March 2005: - - Overall Surf Conditions: average to good conditions, 2-4 foot waves very inconsistent. Some waves with good power but the break never gets bigger and/or good as it gets. Despite that surfers had great fun performing good repertoire of modern surfing.
Total Competitors: 32 entries
Estimated total crowd: 3.000 people increasing to 5.000 for the finals during Easter holidays. Media Attendance: local TVs and general media covering the event daily.
Event Summary: despite political problems & event downgrading the Salinas Pro was held in very favorable environment as Ecuador has excellent waves, good hospitality and general public interested in the sport of surfing. Local staff very capable and professional was a great good surprise.
