MAKUA ROTHMAN AND IKAIKA KALAMA CROWNED 2007 GOTTAPLAY.COM / APT WORLD TITLE TOW-IN SURFING CHAMPS

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 17 October, 2007 : - - Laguna Beach, Ca -- The Association of Professional Towsurfers (APT), and Gottaplay (OTCBB: GTAP), a leading destination site for video gamers and Title Sponsor of the 2007 Gottaplay.com APT World Cup Tour, announced today that Makua Rothman and Ikaika Kalama have been crowned with the 2007 APT World Title for the 1st Annual APT World Tour Tow-In Surfing Circuit.

With the 2007 APT World Tour season officially over and the 2008 season just around the corner, event promoters and competitors are hoping that this will be a better year for consistent and giant swells that are needed to run world-class tow-in events.

“This was a tough year all around the globe for big wave events. Most, if not all the top name big wave events did not happen within their perspective holding periods and this was due to poor weather conditions and lack of large swells.” Says, Eric Akiskalian / APT Founder / President

For the 2007 APT World Tour, the list of 20 international world-class competing teams selected were comprised of the top 8 winning teams that competed in the Bank of Hawaii North Shore Tow-In Surfing Championship. Also, a sub-committee of big wave industry leaders and experts voted 8 world-class professional tow-in teams in. Four wild card team slots were provided along with an alternate list.

For the 2007 season, APT had scheduled four professional tow-in events which included a qualifying event on Maui, Hawaii. Out of the four events, only the Bank of Hawaii NST-ISC event took place. The other three events never received large enough swells during their holding periods.

The 2007 event lineup included:
1. Bank of Hawaii North Shore Tow-In Surfing Championship (Puaena Point)
2. Gottaplay.com Open WQ Maui Tow-In Surfing Championship (Pier 1)
3. Red Bull El Gigante Viene (Puerto Escondido)
4. Iquique, Chile International Tow-In surfing Championship (El Bajo Cacho Toro)
