The Irish surfing Nationals were on last weekend in Donegal with 3-4 foot, onshore and messy conditions at Tullan strand
Congratulations to Colm O´Hare and Andrew Kilfeather on their successes in the Irish National Surfing Championships. Around one hundred and fifty competitors took part in the event.
As a result of his success, Colin O´Hare is Irish National Surfing Champion for the fourth time. His previous successes came in 1998, 1999, ´01. The National Bodyboard Championship was won by Andrew Kilfeather. This is a big achievement for the two local Sligo surfers who learned their skills at Strandhill beach. Both have now made it onto the Irish surfing team to compete at the World Championships in South Africa

In news of the Irish Surfing Association Mike ´Sceadh´ Kelly was elected as Chairman of the ISA.
The Irish Surfing Association is redeveloping and plans to become a larger and more active organization in terms of youth development, safety and the environment.
