Adams was voted “Surfer’s Choice” by his peers at the Surf Awards 2008

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 4 May, 2012 : - - Surfing phenomenon Oli Adams has become the latest rider to be proudly sponsored by Relentless Energy Drink, joining the same team as legendary surfers, multi-British champion Ben Skinner and 2012 English open champion Jayce Robinson.  As a junior rider, Oli has held titles in both New Zealand and the UK. He now travels the world on the World Qualifying Series, surfing some of the finest breaks on the planet.

He’s been crowned English Open Champion and was voted “Surfer’s Choice” by his peers at the Surf Awards 2008. He was also awarded 2nd place at the Lacanau World tour event air show, beating Gabriel Medina in the final. Born to an English father and a Kiwi mother, Oli Adams (27) was lucky enough to grow up with the endless summers – and it shows in his surfing.

From an family of enthusiastic wave riders, Oli has his Mum to thank for launching his career. “When I was six my mum kept pushing me into the waves with my board,”  When not on tour you can catch Oli hanging out and free surfing his home break at Fistral in Newquay. And if the whole surfing thing doesn’t work out, he’s got a back-up plan. “If I wasn’t a surfer I’d be a Tottenham player like Luka Modric, so I could thread mental passes and create all the play for the mighty lily whites!”
