National and international bands set to light up Rio de Janeiro
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 4 May, 2012 : - - Fans of Rock, Reggae and Folk Music can celebrate the arrival of unprecedented WCT Music Festival that takes place on 18 and May 19 at the playhouse Vivo Rio, and will include presentations from national and international bands. With implementation of the GEO Events, the first edition of the festival promises to shake the city of Rio de Janeiro in early fall.
On May 18, the trio Tokyo Sao Paulo Savannah hits the stage of Rio Vivo Rio for a show marked by energy and a rock n roll to the surface. Shortly after the turn is d 'O Rappa, a leading Brazilian bands that remain on the charts in the last 20 years, and returned to the stage in late 2011 with a tour of the disc and DVD "Rappa - Live", recorded in Favela da Rocinha.
On day 19, the girls band's electro-rock type Whiskey open the second night of shows.Then it is time for the U.S. group of Seattle Band Of Horses play the hits of his latest work, 'Infinite Arms'. The night does not end there, and the sound of Lance Herbstrong, with touches of electronics and Classic Rock and Reggae rhythms such as Downtempo, will invade the environment. Ending the night and the festival, the DJ plays Zegon the best of electronic music.
The Rappa, type whiskey and Band of Horses, also presented in April at Lollapalooza Brazil. This was another of the initiatives of the entertainment events of the GEO, which first brought the festival to the country and gathered 135,000 people in the Jockey Club of São Paulo in the two-day festival.
