Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 7 May, 2012 : - - A local boy from Marinha Grande Portugal, this young photographer counts the waves of Praia do Norte as his own personal laboratory. Images of these huge waves has won him awards, including the Biggest Wave award at the Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards for his image of Garrett McNamara on a record-setting bomb.
Besides of his contribute in this singular event in the history of the waves sports in Portugal, Wilson Ribeiro was also the head photographer of the Nazaré Special Edition and as been capturing inside of the water some of the heaviest sessions of the national Surf and Bodyboard sports.
The website counts with a gallery full of action photos in the Surf, Bodyboard, Tow-in, Standup Paddle, Wakeboard, Skate and Kite Surf sports. Also the visitors are invited to follow all the developments of his work in the blog section that will be updated in a regular basis.
