'Made in Canada' series chronicles Canuck exploration
'Surf's Up Here' documents Canadian scene with guest Brad Gerlach
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 9 May, 2012 : - - Vice Canada and Red Bull want to let you in on a little secret that a select few have always known, that when it comes to chasing waves, Canada’s massive coastline actually rules. The only thing is, it takes a lot of dedication and determination.
Surfs Up Here is a new video series that follows Canadian pros on the East and West coasts as they show some Yankee friends the ropes, and dig into our biggest, best, and mostly untapped resource - the Canadian outdoors. With a little help from some seaplane and ‘chopper pilots, we dive deep into remote areas as our surfers hunt down world-class waves in our own rugged and wild backyard.
With an immersive, driving, and dark original score written and performed by John Fraser Carpenter and Ben Koller (drummer of Converge), ride along with our frostbitten pros as they wax their boards, swing axes, and explore the remote and often hauntingly beautiful coastlines.
