Two Thirds opens concept store in Basque Country
San Sebastián Basque Country concept store openIng happens on June 23rd
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 19 June, 2012 : - - On the 23rd of June the blue mens brand TWOTHIRDS opens its first concept store 50 meters from the atlantic shore line in the heart of San Sebastians old town. The gallery space was designed by Basque Artist Iker Leizaola and built by Basque Boatmaker Xanti. Local and sustainable materials and the deep devotion to our oceans are the two dominant components in the brands new home.
"It was important for us to give all that we carry inside as TWOTHIRDS a physical space in order to share the key values of TWOTHIRDS with the public“, says Founder Lutz Schwenke.
Apart from TWOTHIRDS current collection ’Essentials for Men of Sea‘ the store carries French Made Espandrilles by Art of Soule, Parisian Made Art Books from La Kompagnie du Kraft as well as beautifully crafted Indio Jeronimo boards from local and legendary Surf Board Maker Pukas.
„We just wanted pieces in our store we have a special relation with and that we can 100% relate to as a brand and that offer something really unique and authentique“, says Sales Director Jan Groenendijk.
A visit is worth while. TWOTHIRDS brand ambassadors ’sentinels‘ express their devotion to the ocean in form of beautiful art pieces, photography and crafted goods. With Best Regards from the Basque Country.
The name TWOTHIRDS comes from the notion that two-thirds of our planet is covered by ocean. We aim to address like-minded people, who are awake and aware of the immense value of our oceans. More than just another green brand, we like to think of TWOTHIRDS as the blue company.
