Hamilton takes the helm of Jimmy Spithill’s AC45
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 22 June, 2012 : - - It's safe to say Laird Hamilton has caught the sailing bug. On Wednesday, June 20, he joined ORACLE Racing, took the helm of Jimmy Spithill’s AC45 on San Francisco Bay and made the boat fly. “Well, what can I say, I got to take out none other than Don Wildman and Laird Hamilton for the day on SF Bay; 20 to 25 knots windspeed, flying around...does it get any better?” said Spithill.
Spithill is also an active stand-up paddler and has raced on his PUMA/Laird Board.
