Surfing The Nations announces the Eriksson Family is moving to Sweden

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 25 June, 2012 : - - From the beginning, Surfing The Nations has been blessed by countless Swedish volunteers willing to give up a few months of their life to give back. In case you were wondering… YES there IS surf in Sweden! But, the lure of Hawaii’s waves have become an excellent training grounds for countless international volunteers to improve their skills and give back to Hawaii.

It is with great joy and excitement that Surfing The Nations announces the Eriksson Family is moving to Sweden! The Swedish connection to Surfing the Nations ties back to Stefan and his brother Niklas in 1999. Since their first trip hundreds of Swedes have joined the Surfing The Nations ohana, the impact of a sports and selfless service lifestyle inspired them to bring the vision home.

Over the years Surfing The Nations Sweden has grown from an idea to an organization with its own Swedish volunteer staff. This summer Stefan, Christy, and little Le'i will pack their bags and cross the Atlantic to continue to pioneer this great work in Sweden. The Eriksson's need your help to create a strong foundation in Sweden; their primary need is your tangible commitment to financial support.

There are 2 main ways to get involved (specify Eriksson's in note section):
1) A one-time gift toward their goal to raise $10,000 before traveling to Sweden for tickets, startup housing costs, and an emergency fund.
2) A monthly gift toward their goal to raise $2,500 a month. This goes toward food costs, transportation, and day to day expenses.
