Asher brings to the team a different outlook on surfing and the ocean

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 28 June, 2012 : - - Gold Coast -- Darren Handley Designs is proud to announce Asher Pacey as the newest member of the DHD team. Pacey now accompanies some of surfing’s most elite athletes that are already part of the DHD family. Darren Handley (head shaper and company founder) has always been interested in Asher as an athlete, waterman, and avid adventurist. Although Asher is not of the competitive nature, he is a globally recognized free surfer, a respected member of the surfing community, and Darren is very excited to welcome him into the DHD family.

“We feel Asher is a perfect fit here at DHD,” said Handley. “We have competitive surfers and World Champions on the team, but what Asher brings to the table is a different outlook on surfing and the ocean. He has raw, uncompromised talent that will provide a unique perspective regarding my shapes and designs. I am really excited to shape for Asher and proud to have him on the DHD team.”

Asher resides in on the Gold Coast of Australia, and is regarded as one of the best free surfers in the world. Once labeled as an ‘aerial surfer’ he has now diversified as a regular fixture on the famed points of the Southern Gold Coast as well as traveling to exotic locations in search of waves and adventure. Pacey joins the DHD team alongside 2 x World Champion Mick Fanning, 4 x World Champion Stephanie Gilmore, as well as world title candidates Adriano De Souza and Sally Fitzgibbons.
