EuroSIMA will share office space with French Surfing Federation | française ci-dessous
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 3 July, 2012 : - - The European boardsports industry manufacturers association is moving its headquarters to 123 boulevard de la Dune in Hossegor, France. EuroSIMA will now share office space with the French Surfing Federation, who has been in the premises since June 2010. These new offices are located in a High Quality Environmental Standard certified building, owned by the Conseil Général of the Landes.
This upcoming September, the EuroSIMA Cluster will also in turn move its offices. From the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bayonne they will migrate to the Olatu Leku business center in Anglet, in the Baia Business Park, which is entirely dedicated to the boardsports industry. The objective of this geographical proximity is to encourage more synergy between the athletic federation and the professional association.
The presence of EuroSIMA and its Cluster in both territories of the Landes and the Pyrénées Atlantiques is of strategic importance. This positioning encourages communication, training and circulation of information between territorial institutions and industrial actors but also contributes on a larger scale to developing and promoting the boardsports industry at the European level.
«This will, I hope, allow us to increase cooperation between our two organizations and generate common projects. My goal was to bring together under the same roof all the federations and associations that are active in the boardsports world and to create a «Boardsports House» in a building with a strong identity and architecture that fits right into the natural surroundings» adds Fred Basse, EuroSIMA President.

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 3 July, 2012 : - - L’EuroSIMA partagera ainsi ses nouveaux bureaux avec la Fédération Française de Surf installée depuis juin 2010 dans un bâtiment HQE appartenant au Conseil Général des Landes. A la rentrée de septembre prochain, ce sera au tour de l’EuroSIMA Cluster de déménager ses bureaux de la Chambre de Commerce et de l’Industrie de Bayonne et de s’installer dans l’hôtel d’entreprises Olatu Leku à Anglet, dans la zone d’activité Baia Park, entièrement consacrée au secteur de la glisse.
Cette proximité géographique vise à encourager les synergies entre la fédération professionnelle et la fédération sportive. La présence de l’EuroSIMA et de son Cluster sur les deux territoires, les Landes et les Pyrénées Atlantiques, est stratégique. Ce positionnement favorise l’échange, la formation et l’information entre les collectivités territoriales et les acteurs industriels et participe, plus largement, au rayonnement et au développement de la filière glisse au niveau européen.
«Cette démarche va nous permettre, je l’espère, de mettre en place des collaborations entre nos deux organisations et développer des projets communs. Mon but est de rassembler au sein d’une même structure, les associations et fédérations actives dans le milieu du surf et de créer une véritable «Maison de la Glisse» dans un bâtiment à forte valeur identitaire dont l’architecture est intégrée à l’environnement naturel» précise Frédéric Basse, Président de l’EuroSIMA.
