Second Lay Day in a row, but competition will resume tomorrow

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 31 August, 2012 : - - A second, consecutive lay-day has been called for the Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy 2012 today, allowing the five world champions to enjoy the five star resort facilities and also put in some extra practice time in the head high, but wind affected waves of Sultans Point.

With an increase in swell and cleaner conditions forecast over the weekend, competition is set to resume tomorrow with the Twin Fin division, before finalising on Sunday with the Thruster Division and Grand Champions Final. Single Fin runner-up Martin Potter (GB), who coaches some of the worlds elite surfers, said he is enjoying being back in competition mode. "I'm loving it, I just have to put into practice what I've been preaching," joked Potter.

An official call for Saturday's start time will made at 7am tomorrow morning by Tropicsurf organisers. Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy 2012 Single Fin Results From August 29 Event
