Bud Light Lime Surf Series Announces Hurley Pro Expression Session Showcase Line-Up

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 12 September, 2012 : - - Eight athletes who participated in Bud Light Lime Surf Series events in 2012 have been selected to compete in the Bud Light Lime Expression Session Showcase (BLL Expression Session Showcase) taking place during the Hurley Pro, Sept. 16 – 22, at San Onofre State Beach in San Clemente, Calif. 'There are guys from Florida, Virginia, California and Hawaii.There are surfers who are known for their airs and others know for power and style. Some have been on the World Tour and some who don’t compete too often. All-in-all, what a great mixture of athletes' said Chris Conrad, VP IMG and BLLSS Event Director.

Blake Jones (2nd Place: OBX Labor Day Cup)
Michael Dunphy (3rd Place: OBX Labor Day Cup)
Benji Weatherley (Wild Card: Oceanside Invitational)

Initially, the eight surfers from the Bud Light Lime Surf Series will compete amongst each other. The four top-scoring athletes will then band together to form the Bud Light Lime Team. This four-man team will surf against a four-person team comprised of athletes from the ASP World Tour in the BLL Expression Session Showcase Final, set to take place between the semi-final round and the finals of the Hurley Pro.

The team with the highest cumulative score will receive $10,000 in prize money. Additionally, a $2,500 MVP prize will be awarded to one surfer with an outstanding performance. All three heats of the BLL Expression Session will be broadcast live as part of the Hurley Pro webcast and a highlight show will be posted on Surfline.com on September 24.
