Lars Musschoot travels the waters from Norway to Tarifa, Spain

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 2 October, 2012 : - - Protest takes you on a journey "From here to there" with 5 of their professional surfers, following them on their journey from their personal here to get there, whether it's a search for solitude and empty breaks, winning contests under pressure or simply searching for the perfect wave in imperfect locations. Lars Musschoot travels his “here to there” through the waters from Norway to Tarifa, Spain, where he hunts down perfect surf with empty line-ups.

Lars Musschoot is from Ostend, Belgium. At age 11 his father moved to the Canary Islands. Each school vacation Lars & his brother Niels travelled to the Canary’s to visit their dad. They spent every day at the beach and this is when Lars got in to surfing. He started surfing all year round in Belgium. With water temperatures of 6° during wintertime he told himself a thousand times he wouldn’t surf any more during the winter in Belgium, but an hour later I found himself back in the freezing ocean again.

After winning a couple of national titles he started doing Pro Junior events and now is starting to compete in WQS events. He travels the world, shooting pictures and filming footage for his sponsors Protest! He loves promoting the surfing lifestyle, and more specifically the sport of surfing!
