The award-winning Dutch multi-sport helmet company EGG International B.V continues its distribution
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 9 October, 2012 : - - After a successful start this year, the Dutch helmet company EGG International B.V. continues its international promotion and distribution. The EGG helmet was honoured twice with the ISPO Brand New Awards 2012 at both the international ISPO winter sports fair and the ISPO BIKE in Munich. The international distribution is well underway and retail and consumer feedback are both very positive.
EGG is a high quality, customizable, multi-sport helmet for children that was designed and developed by the Dutch company itself. EGG helmets can be bought through the website egghelmets.com or at bicycle, ski, sport and lifestyle retail stores. The helmet is unique because it combines Dutch design with safety, comfort and fun.
Law, safety and multi-sport usage: The company anticipates a current growing need for safety and legislation with regards to wearing a helmet. Since the EGG helmet is customizable, it encourages children to be proactive about wearing one. The helmet can be used for most street, snow and water sports such as cycling, skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, kite surfing, wakeboarding and kayaking.
Product Specifications: EGG has developed two patented technologies that improve optimal safety, fit, flexibility and fun.
1. Flexible Adaptive Sandwich Technology (F.A.S.T.) The sandwich construction consists of an ABS outer core, a flexible EPP impact core and a hygienic EVA core. The retro design provides added safety as it fully covers and protects the ears and upper neck. The helmet’s construction makes it snug fitting, yet flexible.
2. Customization system: The EGG helmet has its own unique retro design and customization system, which allows the user to easily change its look with Skins and Add-ons. The Skins are covers that seamlessly fit over the helmet to give it a personalised look. They are made out of high-quality stretch fabric and feature distinctive prints. Add-ons such as Suncap, Princess crown or Mohawk, are soft rubber accessories that can be snapped on the helmet through the skin. Different combinations of Skins and Add-ons make the helmet more personal and fun. The basic collection for season 2012/2013 consists of eight Skin designs and six Add-ons.
The fit is further enhanced with an advanced ventilation system, an inflatable liner and an integrated one-touch lock. The helmet is completely designed and manufactured in the Netherlands.
Sales and rollout: At the start, EGG will be sold in high-end stores in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France and through its own online shop. For retail sales, EGG works together with different distribution partners for each specific country. Consumer retail price starts at € 69,- . The consumer price for Skins is € 15,- and for Add-ons the price varies between € 9,- and € 15,-.
