Final eight World Title contenders decided

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 14 October, 2012 : - - Keramas, Bali, Indonesia – Saturday saw another day of outstanding surfing in 3-to-4 foot right-handers running down the reef at Keramas. Eight surfers now remain in contention for the 2012 Men’s ASP World Junior Championship Title. Jack Freestone scored the event’s first perfect 10-point-score for a monster full-rotation ally-oop aerial. Freestone was back to his devastating best today.

Ezekiel Lau another impressive heat win in Round 4 scoring a two-wave total of 17.27 throwing down massive maneuvers. Andrew Doheny was another of the day’s top performers, eliminating Keanu Asing in their Round 4 bout. Doheny’s classic California style earned him a spot into the Men’s Quarterfinals

Cooper Chapman came flying out of the gates and laid down some of the day’s most impressive turns proving to be just enough to punch his ticket into the Quarterfinals. Connor Coffin advanced to the Quarterfinals against the odds after scoring an interference in the first minute of the heat.

 


 

Frederico Morais won the closest heat of the day, eliminating Italo Ferreira. Ramzi Boukhiam from Morocco defeated Thomas Woods in the final heat of the day. Boukhiam is the last goofy-footer left in the event.

Next call will be made Monday morning, Oct. 15, at 6:00 AM for a possible 6:30 AM start.
