What is the RESURF project?

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 23 October, 2012 : - -  ReSurf was founded with the ambitious goal of collecting old discarded surfboards and salvaging them for donation to underprivileged children around the world. To date, we have collected 50 surfboards, which we will ship to Israel for our inaugural project in March 2013. In collaboration with local orphanages we will teach these children how to catch waves, using surfing as a vehicle to create positive change.

With the help of renowned surf film makers, Misfit Pictures from San Diego, we will document the entire experience.  Spreading our message will enable us to expand the Project and pay it forward to underprivileged children in a new destination each year.  Hopefully, we will not only bring joy to these children but inspire them to pay it foward in their own way.

The ReSurf Project aims to pay forward the love of surfing by donating time & surfboards to underprivileged children throughout the world. We are making an independent documentary about our non profit project to highlight this unique story and spread our message. We are here on Indiegogo because we need your help to make this happen!!

Who are these dudes? - Three surfers from Long Island, NY, Oran Bendelstien, Mike Urra & Steve Weinrib, founded the ReSurf Project.  We are passionate surfers, and close friends, who are committed to our mission of using surfing as a vehicle to create positive change for underprivileged children throughout the world.
