VEGEMITE SurfGroms Makes A Splash On 1.5 Million VEGEMITE Jars

The world’s first junior participation surfing program features on more than 1.5 million jars of VEGEMITE now on sale in Australian supermarkets throughout summer.

VEGEMITE SurfGroms allows youngsters 5-12 years old an opportunity to learn to surf while developing strong ocean awareness and beach safety skills at a very influential period in their lives that they will enjoy and embrace for a lifetime.

The SurfGroms program marked VEGEMITE’s first sports sponsorship for almost 90 year and since its launch in September 2011, more than 8000 children have enjoyed the program. Now it will be hard to miss the SurfGroms at breakfast tables as Australians fuel up for the day with VEGEMITE on toast.

“It is fantastic to see our VEGEMITE SurfGroms program hitting the shelves of supermarkets and household breakfast tables via the on-pack promo of 1.5 million jars of VEGEMITE,” said Surfing Australia CEO Andrew Stark.
