R.I.P. Jack Cantrell passed away this morning

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 26 October, 2012 : - - Joyce, Christy, and Caryl Cantrell let us know this morning that Jack Cantrell passed away peacefully this morning.  Jack leaves a wonderful legend of friendship and mentoring so many of us in the surf community.

Ventura Surf Club gives special thanks to Jack for all of his contributions, especially in the early years of the club.

Thank you to all who sent birthday cards for his 84th birthday. He enjoyed each of them and his daughter Caryl strung them up for display.

We will let you know as more information becomes available about a memorial service and paddle out.
