Immersion nominated at X-Dance Film Fest
Immersion - The Movie - Off to take on the World
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 7 November, 2012 : - - Director film maker Tim Bonython is off to the US where his film Immersion - The Movie has been nominated for the worlds biggest film festival the X-Dance Film Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah which is held this weekend. After touring it extensively to sellout audience around Australia since April its now time to take it to the world.
Tim says, 'the beauty of showing it theatrically is I have continued to update the film to keep it as current as possible'. 'We have added new footage from the Right in Western Australia & the last swell from JAWS where Shane Dorian paddled into one of the biggest bombs he has got. So really even in the last 10 months big wave surfing continues to evolve pretty well as we speak'.
'That swell at Jaws a couple of weeks ago has taken the sport to a new level'. 'It will be a wonder where paddling will stop at due to size as it will be too big and the ski will be the only way to go'.
'But one thing is for sure Immersion - the Movie will take the viewer to where the sport is now'
