Surfbreak Rentals Turns One, Throws a Poker Tourney, Fashion Show and Expression Session

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 12 November, 2012 : - - Surfbreak Rentals, one of the world’s premier beach vacation rental websites, is turning one this weekend and is throwing a blowout party to celebrate. Their launch party last year drew over a thousand of San Francisco’s most interesting folk by bringing the raw energy of both the local surf scene and the start-up tech crowd together under one roof, and this year is slated to be even bigger.

The action starts off with an informal surf contest at Ocean Beach in the morning, which will be filmed and re-played at the party that evening. The antics then head to Public Works for the customary pre-party Poker Tournament starting at 5PM. Prizes will be given to winners of each event, as well as for the best combined performance. Turns out surfers and techies like to play poker, so this should be good.
 
Public Works’doors open to the general public at 8PM for the main event, a fashion show featuring 12 of the city’s finest fashionistas, working the runway as DJs Chris Clouse and Ryan Lucero keep the crowd jumping. Surfbreak Rentals has partnered with San Franpsycho, Proof Lab Surf Shop, Quiksilver, Roxy, RVCA, and Vela Bianca Swimwear to outfit the models.
